Posey County voters will not see as many contested races this year as they have the past couple, but a few candidates are challenging opponents, and once race in this year's May Primary will be contested.
Trent Van Haaften has decided to come back to the political arena and vie for the spot he gave up a couple years ago to seek a congressional seat. He filed recently to run for Indiana State Representative for District 76, a seat held by Republican first-timer Wendy McNamara. McNamara has also filed to run again.
