Attention freedom-loving Hoosiers: Did you know that current law allows a sewer district to force you to connect and pay their fees, even if your septic system is in good working order? There is a bill in the Indiana General Assembly this year that would change that.
House Bill 1225 would allow you a free choice in connecting to a sewer, as long as your septic system is functioning properly. This important bill has a committee
hearing set for this Wednesday, Jan. 18.
