The Mount Vernon branch is one of 18 former Integra Bank branches, now Old National Bank, that will be closing Dec. 19.
Each branch, including Mount Vernon’s, will be consolidated into an existing Old National facility. In Mount Vernon’s case, the former Integra branch, at the corner of Fourth and College streets, will combine with the Old National one block away, at the corner of Fouth and Main.
Earlier this summer, Old National announced that it had acquired Integra Bank. The FDIC shut down Integra and put the bank up for bids.
Old National was awarded Integra’s assets. At the time, former Integra branches remained open and begain operating under the Old National Bank banner.
According to an Old National press release, a team will evaluate traffic resulting from the consolidations, and if more staff are deemed needed at the consolidated locations, former Integra employees could have opportunities there.
Old National has provided support for former Integra employees, including career coaching, workshops and networking, and the establishment is offering scholarships for courses at Ivy Tech.
