-A A +A

Harmony Township Farm Bureau met at the home of Don and Linda Temme on Dec. 13 for the annual Christmas dinner and meeting.
Linda Temme read “Different Christmas Poem” and “Pastor’s Ass (donkey)” for devotions.
Sheryl Seib, Posey County Farm Bureau president, and her husband, Mark, and Tim and Christina Seifert attended the November district meeting. Seib reported on the sessions, speaker and announced Posey County won an award for the “Copper Theft Project” and Phil Springstein was reelected director.
Seib urged members to attend the policy meeting on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at Hawg ‘N’ Sauce. Seib noted the annual meeting at the Posey County Community Building has been changed to March 13 at 6 p.m. Voting on policy changes will be on the agenda. The annual AFBF Convention will be in Hawaii, Jan. 8-11. The Seibs and Seiferts plan to attend. Seib reviewed the Women’s luncheon at Samuel’s on Nov. 30 due to the absence of the Women’s leader.
As there were no birthdays or anniversaries in December, members sang “Happy Birthday” to Jesus.
A lengthy discussion concerning the new assessment on farmland was conducted by the Seibs.
Sheryl Seib then read a Christmas story and each member selected a present as their word in the story was read.
Linda Temme read “Why We Love Children” and a humorous recipe for “Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies.” Charles Huck read several bloopers from “Children’s Sayings.” The group again collected canned goods for the food pantry. Before adjournment, Linda Temme read the “Christmas Guest.”
