Since 2012, barricades and fencing have closed off the Harmony Way Bridge, a once valuable connection for Indiana and Illinois travellers and farmers.
Since the day the lanes closed, lawmakers and residents have discussed ways to reopen the bridge, but an affordable option has yet to be found.
But the recent passage of an amendment of Indiana House Bill 1290 could be a big step in the future of the bridge.
