Junior High sports begin

Mount Vernon Junior High seventh and eighth grade football practice will begin on Thursday, Aug. 4. All seventh and eighth grade players should report to Bobcat Alley at the Junior High by 4:45 p.m. for practice. Practice will be from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Parents should plan to pick the players up at 7:30 p.m.
Players who have not yet received their equipment should plan to do so immediately after the first practice session. If you have questions, please call the school's office at 833-2077.
Mount Vernon Junior High Volleyball try-outs will begin after school on Aug. 15-16. There will be a sign-up sheet in the office once school begins for seventh and eighth grade girls that are interested.
The Mount Vernon Junior Cross Country team's first meeting and practice will be after school on Aug. 17.
Athletes should have a physical on file prior to the first practice. Physical forms may be picked up in the school's office or downloaded from the school website at http://jh.msd.mv.k12.in.us.
