The Mount Vernon Girls Track team finished second in the Mount Vernon Invite last Friday. North Posey came in seventh.

Top 10 finishers were Brooke Green of Mount Vernon in second, Savannah Bush of Mount Vernon in third and Elise O’Risky of North Posey in fourth in the 100-meter dash, Green in fourth, Courtney Bourne of Mount Vernon in fifth and O’Risky in eighth in the 200-meter dash, Hallie Fisher of Mount Vernon in seventh in the 400-meter dash, Becca Oakman of Mount Vernon in second in the 800-meter run, Lindsay Koester of North Posey in seventh in the 1600-meter run, Rachel Krieger of Mount Vernon in fifth and Jade Hatcher of North Posey in eighth in the 3200-meter run, Cydney Cole of Mount Vernon in fourth and Madison Cates in sixth in the 100-meter hurdles, Cole in second and Stephanie Michels of North Posey in fourth in the 300-meter hurldles, Bush, Bourne, Cole and Green of Mount Vernon in first and Sam Little, Haley Messic, O’Risky and Hannah Voegel of North Posey in sixth in the 400-meter relay, Cole Taylor Brooks, Green and Fisher of Mount Vernon in fifth and Koester, Messic, O’Risky and Danielle Perry of North Posey in eighth in the 1600-meter relay, Kaybren Grubb, Jade Hatcher, Koester and Perry of North Posey in fifth and Krieger, Sarah Kelley, Madison Simpson and Oakman in sixth in the 3200-meter relay, Ashley Underwood of Mount Vernon in fifth in the high jump, Simpson in first in the pole vault, Voegel in fifth and Bush in eighth in the long jump and Makenna Russell of Mount Vernon in fourth in the shot put and seventh in the discus.

Mount Vernon will host Wood Memorial on Thursday.
