Posey man to serve federal time

U.S attorney Joe Hogsett was back in Mount Vernon last week to announce the sentencing of a Poseyville man for firearms violations.
Manuel DeJesus Aguilar, 40, of Poseyville, was sentenced to a year in prison after
he pleaded guilty to entering the country without authorization after deportation
and unlawfully possessing a firearm as an alien.
The case results from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms
