Sen. Dan Coates made a stop in Poseyville to listen to agricultural concerns from farmers near and far.
The Seib family hosted more than 50 people from Posey County and neighboring Gibson County, and others who drove from Walkerton, Ind., to raise concerns about agriculture in the country.
Coats, R-Indiana, brought up the estate tax and inheritance tax, which largely affects family farming businesses.
"It forces a lot of farmers out of business," Coats said about the tax taken when a family business is passed from one generation to the next.
