Swim team places second

Mount Vernon’s Boys Swim Team finished second at their invitational meet Saturday,
losing to Memorial by 30 points.
Mount Vernon tallied 393 and Memorial had 423. Following Mount Vernon was Terre Haute North Vigo with 195 points. Jasper scored 188, Reitz had 102, Harrison had 34, Central scored 28, North scored 17 and Bosse had six.
Following is how Mount Vernon swimmers placed in each event:
• 200-Yard Medley Relay — A-team first place - Reid Mobley, Wade Mobley, Jake
Poole and Danen Turpin; B team fifth place - Travis Harris, Kevin Moore, Tyler Moll and Sage Irons; C-team ninth place - Zack Allyn, Brayden Bourne, Austin Colson and
Kurt Kissinger.
• 200-Yard Freestyle — first place, Poole; third place, Irons; sixth place, Colson; eighth place, Aaron Duckworth; 11th place, Kissinger.
• 200-Yard Individual Medley — first place, Wade Mobley; second place, Nicholas
Loehr; ninth place, Layton Hopper; 12th place, Moll; 13th place, Allyn.
• 50-Yard Freestyle — second place, Reid Mobley; eighth place, Turpin; 10th place, Travis Harris; 18th place, Bourne.
• 1-Meter Diving — third place, Kyle Smith; fourth place, Jake Whaley.

• 100-Yard Butterfly — first place, Reid Mobley; seventh place, Moore; eighth
place, Turpen; 12th place, Keith Turner.
• 100-Yard Freestyle — seventh place, Hopper; 10th place, Colson; 12th place,
Kissinger.
• 500-Yard Freestyle — first place, Jake Poole; third place, Nicholas Loehr; seventh
place, Aaron Duckworth.
• 200-Yard Freestyle Relay — A-team first place - Poole, Turpin, Wade Mobley, and
Reid Mobley; B-team fifth place - Hopper, Loehr, Colson and Duckworth.
• 100-Yard Backstroke — sixth place, Travis Harris; ninth place, Irons; 12th place,
Allyn; 14th place, Turner.
• 100-Yard Breaststoke — second place, Wade Mobley; fourth place, Moll; eighth
place, Moore; 13th place, Bourne.
• 400-Yard Freestyle Relay — A-team fourth place - Hopper, Duckworth, Irons and
Loehr; B-team seventh place - Kissinger, Moore, Harris and Moll; C-team 10th place -
Turner, Whaley, Bourne and Allyn.
