Swimmers finish second at all-star meet

Several Brittlebank swimmers participated in the Southern Illinois All-Star Swim Meet on Saturday. The swimmers competed in the six-team event on the Illiana Swim Conference team.
High Brittlebank finishers were Maiya Courey in seventh in the girls 9-10 100-yard individual medley, Jayce Hamilton in fourth in the boys 9-10 individual medley, Todd Ghrist in seventh in the boys 11-12 100-yard individual medley, Hannah Cross in 10th in the girls 13-14 100-yard individual medley, Jordan Crabtree in 10th in the boys 13-14 100-yard individual medley, Jenny Koch in fifth in the girls 15-18 100-yard individual medley, DA Wilson in 12th in the boys 100-yard individual medley, Maiya Courey in fourth in the girls 9-10 25-yard backstroke, Jayce Hamilton in seventh in the boys 9-10 25-yard backstroke, Kati Russell in 12th in the girls 11-12 50-yard backstroke, Todd Ghrist in seventh in the boys 11-12 50-yard backstroke, Hannah Cross in seventh in the girls 13-14 100-yard backstroke, Jordan Crabbtree in eighth in the boys 13-14 100-yard backstroke, Ben Zickmund in the boys 15-18 100-yard backstroke, Emily Huefftle in ninth in the girls eight and under 25-yard butterfly, Jayce Hamilton in sixth in the boys 9-10 25-yard butterfly, Kati Russell in 12th in the girls 11-12 50-yard butterfly, Todd Ghrist in 10th in the boys 11-12 50-yard butterfly, Ashley Walls in 11th in the girls 13-14 50-yard butterfly, Jordan Crabtree in 13th in the boys 13-14 50-yard butterfly, Jenny Koch in fourth in the girls 15-18 50-yard butterfly, DA Wilson in 14th in the boys 50-yard butterfly, Kayden Hamilton in 14th in the boys eight and under 25-yard breaststroke, Maiya Courey in third in the girls 9-10 25-yard breaststroke, Jonathan Hueftle in ninth in the boys 9-10 25-yard breaststroke, Ashley Walls in eighth in the girls 13-14 100-yard breaststroke, Jordan Crabtree in sixth in the boys 13-14 100-yard breaststroke, Jenny Koch in fifth in the girls 15-18 100-yard breaststroke, DA Wilson in eighth in the boys 15-18 100-yard breaststroke, Kayden Hamilton in 14th in the boys eight and under 25-yard freestyle, Maiya Courey in fifth in the girls 9-10 25-yard freestyle, Jayce Hamilton in fifth in the boys 9-10 25-yard freestyle, Todd Ghrist in 10th in the boys 11-12 50-yard freestyle, Hannah Cross in eighth in the girls 13-14 100-yard freestyle, Jenny Koch in fifth in the girls 15-18 100-yard freestyle, DA Wilson in 13th in the boys 15-18 100-yard freestyle, Emily Huefftle in fourth on the girls eight and under 100-yard freestyle relay team, Liz Saltzman, Maiya Courey and Alayna Courey in third on the girls 9-10 100-yard freestyle relay team, Jayce Hamilton in third on the boys 9-10 100-yard freestyle relay team, Kati and McKenna Russell in seventh on the girls 11-12 200-yard freestyle relay team, Todd Ghrist in third on the boys 11-12 200-yard freestyle relay team, Ashley Walls and Hannah Cross in first on the girls 13-14 200-yard freestyle relay team, Jenny Koch in third on the girls 15-18 200-yard freestyle relay team, and DA Wilson and Ben Zickmund in third on the boys 15-18 200-yard freestyle relay team.
The Illiana team finished in second place in the meet.
