Destry Allyn Spielberg has been tapped by Basil Iwanyk & Erica Lee’s Thunder Road Pictures to helm Four Assassins (And A Funeral), a Ryan Hooper Black List script described as a mashup of The Kingsman with Knives Out and Succession.
Spielberg, who is the daughter of the renowned director of The Fabelmans, received praise for her work on the Tribeca-premiered short film The Right Way, written by Owen King and starring Hopper Penn and Brian D’Arcy James. She has acted in Licorice Pizza and one episode of the I Know This Much Is True miniseries.

After meeting Destry in person and learning that she intended to take action, Thunder Road’s Lee remarked, “We watched Destry’s short and were intrigued. We went in to find something.” Four Assassins is the ideal vehicle for her, and we’re anxious to hear what her distinct voice will add to it. This will also introduce a new filmmaking voice into the elevated action field.
Casting is now under place, and production is expected to begin in the UK in the first half of 2023.
Spielberg expressed her excitement and honour at the opportunity to collaborate with Thunder Road to depict this tale of betrayal, death, and family.

The John Wick franchise is produced by Thunder Road, which was established by Iwanyk and is led by Lee. Dev Patel will make his directorial debut on the stylized revenge thriller Monkey Man, as well as the romantic comedies Love Again with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, The Continental, and The Ballerina with Ana de Armas.
