According to “Variety,” the actor was hurt in late August 2021 when a motorcycle accident on the set left her with a shattered shoulder and a concussion among other disabilities.

The mishap happened on the Boston set of “Wakanda Forever.” Wright had her mounted on a “biscuit rig” for a pursuit scene, allowing the camera to capture her riding a motorcycle in a real setting.
Nate Moore, the film’s producer, claims that Wright was riding the rig when it “clipped a median and sheared the bike off, and it tumbled.”
Regarding the incident, Wright told Variety, “I’m still processing it.
“In therapy, I’m still working through it. It was quite upsetting.”
Wright was working with the second unit crew on the Boston set of the movie, so neither Moore nor the movie’s director, Ryan Coogler, were there when the accident happened.
On the main set of “Wakanda Forever,” the two men were once again in Atlanta.
Wright’s mishap had to be announced to Coogler over the phone. When asked about the call, Cooger remarked, “It was about how you can imagine.”
“My goodness, I adore these actors. That’s my sister, Chad’s sister. Imagine receiving the news that your younger sister is injured. It is the absolute worst thing ever.”
To visit Wright in the hospital, Coogler and Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige travelled to Boston. Feige remarked, “It was awful on any production occurring to anybody.
It was especially difficult for this production, which was already under emotional strain.
Feige was referring to Wright’s injuries at the time as only the most recent production issue for “Wakanda Forever.” Following the passing of original “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman, the entire film had to be remade.
Wright was adamant that she would complete the film as a memorial to her late co-star, and she wasn’t going to allow her wounds get in the way of that.

Regarding Feige and Coogler’s hospital visit, Wright remarked, “I just remember wanting to complete my film, man.” “That was probably one of the initial things I said to Ryan. “Tish, you need to recover,” he said.”
Wright left Boston and made his way back to London to rest. When it was decided that she required extra recovery time for “Wakanda Forever,” production was stopped in November 2021. In January 2022, the cameras once again began to roll. When filming started, Wright said that he was still dealing with post-concussion syndrome, according to ‘Variety’.
Wright added, “I got excellent, great, great medical care and great patience on set. “Simply put, I’m quite proud of myself. I’m so proud of Ryan and the team merely for their perseverance in conquering obstacles. I bawled like a baby once I was done filming.”
