The great guitarist Carlos Santana, who turns 75 this month, will cancel his next six performances while he recovers from collapsing on stage earlier this month.
I’m sorry to let you know that the Santana band’s performance at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana, has been postponed. Additionally, we are delaying the performances scheduled for July 9 at Cincinnati, Ohio’s Riverbend Music Center; July 10 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater – Summerfest Grounds; July 12 at Rogers, Arkansas’ Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion; July 15 at Dallas, Texas’ Dos Equis Pavilion; and July 16 at Woodlands, Texas’ Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, according to Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management. Doctors advised Mr. Santana to rest so he could fully recover.
When new dates are announced, Live Nation will honour tickets already purchased for those events.
A day after collapsing from heat exhaustion during a performance in Michigan, the legendary guitarist Carlos Santa posted on social media today that he is “fine and taking it easy.”
He sent a message on Facebook early this morning thanking everyone for their prayers, saying, “To one and all, thank you for your lovely prayers Cindy and I are good just taking it easy forgot to eat and drink water thus I dehydrated and handed out blessings and miracles to you all.”
According to a statement from his representatives, the veteran rocker “is doing fine” after being brought to a nearby hospital for monitoring after he fainted. There will not be a performance tonight in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, which is close to Pittsburgh.
Guitarist Carlos Santana, 74, who is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, collapsed due to heat exhaustion while performing in Clarkson, Michigan.
Several concertgoers posted videos of the performer collapsing onstage at the Pine Knob Music Theater on social media following the incident. The event was abruptly canceled, but he was up on his feet fast as evidenced by the fact that he could be seen waving to spectators as he was carried offstage on a hospital gurney.

This year, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Santana have been on a tour together that started a little over a month ago and will last through the end of August.
There is no information on what prompted this, but he did suffer an “unscheduled cardiac procedure” the previous year, which was bad enough to force the cancellation of his residency gigs in December 2021 at the Las Vegas House of Blues.
In a video message, Santana responded to the situation by saying, “I’m going to be taking time off for a little bit to make sure that I replenish and relax.” He also stated that he visited the hospital on Saturday after feeling soreness in his chest.
