Will Smith’s new moniker from Chris Rock alludes to the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records.
According to numerous reports, Rock addressed the King Richard star as “Suge Smith” when he took the stage Friday night at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre as part of his Ego Death World Tour, a reference to Marion “Suge” Knight, who was known for his tough and frequently violent demeanour when he was the head of the record label that produced Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac.
Despite the fact that Rock stayed away from Smith’s public apology video, he wanted to express that, in the wake of Smith’s iconic Oscars slap, he does not consider himself as a victim.
He declared, “Everyone is trying to be a f***ing victim.” “If everyone declares himself to be a victim, the actual victims won’t be heard. Even Suge Smith punching me in the face… The next day, I reported for duty. I have kids.”
Anyone who claims that words hurt has never received a hit to the face, he said.
The remarks came after Smith on Friday sent a very private video message to social media in which he apologised to Rock and the comedian’s family, as well as to his own family and friends. In the video, Smith also expressed his own regrets for his actions. The Oscar winner also admitted that he tried to reach out to Rock but was told that the comedian was not yet ready to speak and that he would do so later.
Smith referred to the night as “all blurry.” “I’ll tell you, Chris, that I’m sorry. I apologise for my conduct, and I’m available whenever you want to talk.”
It’s not the first time Rock has poked fun at Smith in a stand-up routine. When he entered the stage at Madison Square Garden last weekend, the 57-year-old comic made similar remarks. According to a source for ET, Rock “made a joke about Will during a performance on “cancel culture,” joking that “anyone who believes words hurt has never been punched in the face.”

When Dave Chappelle and Kevin Heart joined Rock on stage at the conclusion of that same performance, they brought out a real goat. However, it almost went wrong!
Hart disclosed that the goat’s appearance deteriorated during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when the goat pooped on Rock’s white moon boots.
Hart remarked, “The goat took a s***t on stage.”
“It wasn’t even planned. The only thing I failed to consider was that. The goat was supposed to perform a tight two minutes, like I predicted, but instead he faeces on Chris’ shoes. Chris’ shoes were damaged by him. He was attacked by the goat while wearing some white moon boots.”
