Christine McVie, a keyboardist and singer for Fleetwood Mac, has passed away.
Christine’s family released the following statement: “She passed away quietly in the hospital this morning, November 30, 2022. She had only recently been ill. With her family, she was occupying her time. Please respect the family’s need for privacy during this very difficult time. Additionally, we want everyone to remember Christine and her incredible life as a beloved musician and human being.
Stevie Nicks, one of her bandmates, expressed her sadness over the loss of her “best friend in the whole world.” She claimed that up until this past weekend when she was instructed to wait, she was unaware that Christine was ill.

Stevie claims that ever since she learned that Christine was ill, the HAIM song “Hallelujah” has been on her thoughts. She explains, “I always knew I would need these words someday. “Love, I’ll meet you on the other side,” she writes as she closes her letter. Please remember me.
In 1970, Christine became a band member. Their relationship began in 1967. Christine and the other members of Fleetwood Mac were honoured with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
In 1998, Christine also declared that she was leaving the group. She said that part of the cause was due to her dread of flying and her panic episodes. She had “retired” for a while before releasing a solo album.

Christine’s return to the band prior to the 2014 On with the Show tour was welcomed by the audience.
The organisation released a statement shortly after learning of her passing. “We don’t know what to say about Christine McVie’s passing because we are so sorry. She was genuinely special, unlike anyone else, and extraordinarily gifted.
She was the best friend someone could have and the best musician anyone could have in their band. We were incredibly fortunate to have her in our lives. We are all grateful for the lovely memories we have of Christine because she was very loved by all of us. She will be sorely missed.
