Composers Confirm, Omega Will Be Older In The Bad Batch Season 2

Despite the fact that many facts about The Bad Batch season 2 are being kept under wraps, the Kiner Brothers have revealed that Omega will be a little older.

According to songwriters the Kiner Brothers, Omega will be older in Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Omega (Michelle Ang) was introduced to viewers in the animation series’ premiere episode, a 90-minute extravaganza that wowed viewers on May 4 of last year. The character was revealed to be a clone created from Jango Fett’s pure DNA, making her and Boba Fett the only unmodified clones in the galaxy. Omega has thus become extremely valuable to the galaxy, and she is placed on the Galactic Empire’s wanted list alongside her clone brothers in Clone Force 99 (Dee Bradley Baker).

Season 1 of the show delivers an exciting trip for the Bad Batch, despite the fact that many secrets about season 2 are being kept under wraps.

Despite being abandoned by the Empire, Crosshair chose not to return to his clan of brothers and sister. Even if he told the Bad Batch that he’d had his inhibitor chip removed, this may be due to it. A headache he received at the season 1 finale could be proof that the Empire lied to him, implying that he will need his brothers’ help in the coming season. By sending Kaminoan Nala Se to a new facility at the end of the season, the Empire hinted that it would continue to exploit cloning technology, which could be a potential link between this series and the sequel Star Wars trilogy. The Bad Batch will continue to try to navigate the galaxy now that they are no longer soldiers in the midst of it all.

The Kiner Brothers have revealed on their YouTube podcast The Convor Call that The Bad Batch season 2 will have a wide enough time leap for Omega to be older than she was in her previous appearance. The composers, who have also worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels in addition to The Bad Batch, had to keep their work on the sophomore season under wraps but were allowed to discuss their experiences thus far. They revealed that the cause is “very awesome,” as well as the fact that Omega will be “a little bit older” than season 1. (but still “not a lot”).

Despite the absence of information for season 2 of the show, this indication of a time jump remains something for fans to anticipate as the wait continues. Omega may be approaching her adolescent years and so more capable of fending for herself in battle, though she was well on her way when she was last seen in season 1. She might even start to resemble her brother Boba in terms of both appearance and skill set. This time jump also gives the Bad Batch plenty of time to straighten things out before the start of season 2. Clone Force 99 will have enough time to establish a routine by the time season 2 starts, whether they return to working as mercenaries or join Captain Rex in his early Rebellion-like endeavours.

The Bad Batch season 2 still hasn’t been given a release date. While it was previously claimed in issues of Star Wars Insider that it will be released in Spring 2022, the label has since been removed, and even Disney failed to include the series in a Star Wars 2022 roundup. With the knowledge that the composers are hard at work on the season, viewers can hope that much of the work has already been completed. The animated series could yet premiere later this year, possibly between the end of Andor and the release of The Mandalorian season 3 around the holidays. When Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 eventually airs, an aged Omega will undoubtedly make the audience feel as if a long time has passed.
