Former Mount Vernon Wildcat Pitcher Cody Mobley has a new home.

Mobley, who spent the past two seasons with the Arizona League Mariners, is now a member of the Everett AquaSox.

The AquaSox are a Class A short season member of the Northwest League, and play in Everett Memorial Stadium, where Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his first professional home run in 1987.

Mobley’s initial season in the Arizona League showed promise, with nine appreances, three saves a two wins with no losses.

He had a 1.71 ERA in 26 and a third innings pitched allowing 12 hits and five earned runs. He allowed one home run and walked 10, with 19 strikeouts.

An injury would limit him in his sophomore campaign.

Mobley suffered a flexor tendon injury and chose to take a non-surgical route to recovery. He looks to stay healthy this season.
