ProRehab comes to Posey County

-A A +A
By Corey Woolsey

For those in Posey County who need rehabilitation services, the drive for that service may have just become easier.

ProRehab has just moved into the county, in its temporary home at the North Posey Wellness Center in Wadesville.

ProRehab was founded in 1999 by clinicians with the vision of providing the highest level of service for our patients and referring physicians. They provide hands-on physical therapy based on the newest research and are committed to getting patients the best results in fewer visits. The majority of the staff has advanced certifications in hand rehabilitation, athletic training, strength and conditioning, work capacity evaluation, lymphedema treatment, vestibular rehab, spine care, and more.

Will Tank, a therapist with ProRehab that will be at the Posey County location said that the move to the county was one that came from a partnership with North Posey High School.

“We have an athletic trainer with ProRehab that will be working out at the school,” said Tank. “This was an opportunity to be a bigger part of the community.”

Tank said that the opportunity to have a location in Posey County would give residents better access to physical therapy services.

“In the past, patients may have had to drive to Evansville or farther to a ProRehab location,” said Tank. “This should help them out.”

While the partnership with the school brought ProRehab to Posey County, the service is not limited to athletes or school personnel.

“We hope to provide service to the entire community and see a wide range of patients,” Tank said. “We will be able to take care of about anybody’s needs.”

Tank said that they will have limited space in the temporary location, but hope to have a bigger space soon.

ProRehab sees patients by doctor referral as well as patients that have insurance that allows direct access.

The new location will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 12-1 p.m. lunch break.
