Wedding Announcement: Fowler

Mallory Taylor Graves and Jacob Benjamin Fowler were married March 5, 2011 at the Vista on Seward Hill in Austin, Texas. The Rev. Canon Susan Joplin, of Oklahoma City and aunt of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Jayne Graves of Greer, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Brown of Mount Vernon, and the late Phillip Blackburn of Mount Vernon, Mrs. Wilma Graves of Seelyville, Ind. and the late Morris Graves.
She is a graduate of Georgia Tech University with a bachelor of science in chemical and biomolecular engineering. Mallory works for BP America as the NaKika Process Engineer in Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Production in Houston, Texas.
The groom is the son of Jerry and Ann Fowler of Hutto, Texas. He is the grandson of Mrs. Leola Fowler of Victoria, Texas, Mrs. Margaret Colley of McAllen, Texas and the late Thomas M. Colley Jr. of Palestine, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Fowler of Edna, Texas. He is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned his BBA and MBA in marketing. He is a marketing research analyst for Creative Consumer Research in Stafford, Texas. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless Melissa Brooch Maggie Sottero gown that featured an A-line silhouette with a soft sweetheart neckline and pleated detailing on the bodice. Glistening beaded motifs with Swarovski crystals accented the side hip and corset back.
She wore a cathedral length veil of silk tulle. The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies that were wrapped with lace taken from her mother’s wedding gown and pinned with a brooch that belonged to her grandmother.
The bride chose her sisters, Megan Graves and Molly Graves, of Greer, S.C. as the maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Powers, sister of the groom, of Victoria, Texas, Kelsey Rosbach and Nikky Hess, sorority sisters of Houston, Texas, Josie Booth, sorority sister, of Dubai, U.A.E, and Katie Limbaugh, high school friend, of Savannah, Ga.
The groom chose Eric Boedy, a friend from Stephen F. Austin University, of Austin, Texas and Thomas Baen, a friend from Boy Scouts, of Houston, Texas, as best men.
Groomsmen were Ryan Claffey, Paul St. Pierre, and Jeff Oldenkamp, friends from Stephen F. Austin University, of Houston, Texas, and Daniel Hall, friend from high school, of San Antonio, Texas.
Faith Russ, second cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Marvin Brown, grandfather of the bride, read a scripture.
A reception hosted by the bride’s parents immediately followed the ceremony at the Vista on Seward Hill.
The evening before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Stubb’s Barbeque followed by an after party at the Belmont.
Family and friends gathered at the Broken Spoke on Thursday evening for a night of Texas two-stepping. After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.
