Breckan Austin led the receivers with four catches and 121 yards.

Scottsburg led 17-14 at the half, but Mount Vernon locked the scoring opportunities down in the second half to get the win.

Ricky Simpson led the team defensively with eight tackles.

The Wildcats are back at home Friday night for a Homecoming battle with Princeton.
