When a member of the film crew was sick with coronavirus in October, work was halted for two weeks. The number of Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles began to increase in January, so the film was put on hold for a few more weeks.

The plot has been kept under wraps, but we do know that the film revolves around Alice and Jack, a couple who live in a utopian society in the California desert in the 1950s.

Their seemingly ideal life, however, takes a tragic turn when housewife Alice uncovers a shocking truth about her husband, who is concealing a dark secret tied to “The Victory Project.”

“Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles) are fortunate to be living in the idealised community of Victory, the experimental company town housing the men who work for the top-secret Victory Project and their families,” according to the official synopsis.

“Every facet of daily life in the tight-knit desert utopia is anchored by the 1950s societal optimism promoted by their CEO, Frank (Pine)—equal parts business visionary and motivational life coach.” While the husbands spend their days working on the “creation of innovative materials” at Victory Project Headquarters, their wives—including Frank’s gorgeous partner, Shelley (Chan)—get to enjoy the beauty, luxury, and depravity of their community.

“Every resident’s needs are addressed by the company, and life is excellent.” They only ask for caution and unwavering dedication to the Victory cause.

“However, when holes in their beautiful life appear, revealing glimpses of something far more sinister lying beneath the charming facade, Alice can’t help but wonder what they’re doing in Victory, and why.” “How much is Alice willing to risk in order to reveal the truth about what’s actually going on in this paradise?”

Who is the director of Don’t Worry, Darling?

Olivia Wilde’s follow-up to 2019’s Booksmart, which she also directed, is Don’t Worry Darling. Wilde’s film Booksmart gained critical acclaim and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.

Wilde isn’t slowing down as a director, either. She’s set to helm an untitled Sony/Marvel feature on female empowerment, and she’s signed on to make Perfect, a biography about Olympic gold winner Kerri Strugg of the United States.

Before becoming a director, Wilde was a well-known actress who appeared in films such as House, Tron: Legacy, Cowboys & Aliens, Drinking Buddies, and Richard Jewell. She will also appear in Damien Chazelle’s Babylon, which is set to be released in 2022.

Is There A Trailer For Don’t Worry Darling?

There isn’t an official trailer yet, but there is a short teaser with fast-paced pictures that keep you guessing. Pugh wears her hair in a traditional 50s style in the video, implying that she enjoys the elegant housewife lifestyle. However, we see her exchanging a passionate moment with Styles’ character and gasping for breath after having her face caught in a plastic bag in the last seconds. We can immediately tell that the psychological thriller will not hold back on the craziness.
