Elon Musk stated on Tuesday that he will step down as CEO of Twitter once a replacement has been identified.
“As soon as I find someone naive enough to accept the position of CEO, I will step down! The billionaire wrote, “After that, I’ll merely be in charge of the software & servers teams.

Musk said he will follow the results of a poll he conducted on the social media site on Sunday asking users if they thought he should step down as its leader.
There were over 17.5 million votes cast. 57.5% of voters chose yes.
Musk had previously stated that he did not have a replacement in place soon after publishing the poll. “No one wants the position that can genuinely maintain Twitter’s existence. There isn’t a replacement, he tweeted.

Less than two months ago, shortly after completing his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, Musk proclaimed himself CEO. He quickly dismissed the company’s top executives, disbanded the board of directors, and laid off over half of the staff.
Since then, the self-described “free speech absolutist” has altered the company’s regulations in a number of inconsistent ways, including those relating to content moderation, suspended users, and the promotion of rivals.
He frequently makes judgements that he later changes his mind about, seemingly out of the blue, and has implemented significant platform modifications based on “yes” or “no” Twitter polls.
