After he stumbled and slurred his speech during a traffic stop, a Florida police officer was detained on Monday and accused of driving under the influence.
Officer Oscar Mayorga, 25, of the Apopka Police Department, was stopped while wearing his uniform for allegedly operating his marked police vehicle while intoxicated, according to WESH-TV.
Prior to the traffic stop by Eustis Police, Mayorga, a five-year department veteran, allegedly drove erratically on a highway. The Eustis Police Department published a bodycam video of a witness describing Mayorga’s driving as being “all over the road.”

In the footage, Mayorga was seated on the hood of his police cruiser and stumbled while speaking and lost his equilibrium. Prior to being stopped, Mayorga initially admitted to taking Benadryl, but then admitted to drinking three alcoholics’ “tall boys” of beer, according to WESH-TV.
His blood alcohol content, according to the police, was.391, which is more than four times Florida’s legal limit.
According to WESH-TV, Mayorga has been put on paid administrative leave.
