Kelly Greyson, who starred in Fortress, has joined the cast of MR-9, an espionage action thriller starring Frank Grillo and based on the Masud Rana novels with James Bond influences.
Gia, the main henchwoman and mistress of Roman Ross, the villain played by Captain America actor Grillo, will be played by Greyson.
Recently, Greyson co-starred in the films Fortress and Fortress 2 with actors like Bruce Willis and Chad Michael Murray. She previously starred alongside Willis in Mike Burns’ Out of Death, Guy Pearce’s action thriller Disturbing the Peace, and the historical drama Alone yet Not Alone.
The writer-director Asif Akbar film MR-9 was first announced by Deadline last month. Filming has already begun in Bangladesh and the United States.

Grillo portrays the antagonist of the Bangladesh Counter Intelligence Agency’s secret agent Rana, code name MR-9, in this film adaptation of the late author Qazi Anwar Hussain’s Rana novels. Most of the plot is being kept a secret.
The movie is an adaptation of Masud Rana’s debut book, Dhonghsho Pahar (Demolition Hill). In the James Bond franchise-inspired series, written by Hussain, 550 books have been published.
M-9 was created by the LA-based Al Bravo Films, the Bangladeshi production company Jaaz Multimedia, and MR-9 Films.
Al Bravo, Hemdee Kiwanuka, Colin Bates, Akbar, Philip Tan, and Abdul Aziz are the producers, with Niko Foster, Peter Nguyen, and Phillip B. Goldfine serving as executive producers. Akbar, Aziz, and Nazim Ud Daula have adapted the movie’s screenplay.
