The Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery directed by Rian Johnson will serve as the closing night gala for the 66th BFI London Film Festival.
On Sunday, October 16 at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, the movie, starring Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline alongside Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista, will have its European debut.
Johnson will attend the event alongside the cast, which has already been revealed to include Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, and Madelyn Cline.
Additionally, the movie will be screened simultaneously as a preview at other theatres across the UK.
Craig reprises his role as the master detective Detective Benoit Blanc in the sequel to the 2018 smash film Knives Out. He journeys to Greece to solve a mystery involving a fresh batch of colourful suspects.
Johnson and Ram Bergman, who will also be present, produced both movies through their T-Street label.
“I’m excited to be returning at LFF with Glass Onion, and it’s an honour to be closing the festival,” Johnson exclaimed. It feels a little bit like coming home since a great whodunnit actually belongs in London!
