Rapper Karim Kharbouch, whose real name is French Montana, is a Moroccan-American. French Montana was grown and born in Morocco. He and his family immigrated to the country when he was 13 years old. He founded Cocaine City Records, the label that preceded Coke Boys Records.
French Montana spent years creating songs on his own before agreeing to a deal with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group and Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records in 2012. In 2007, Kharbouch released his first mixtape, and in 2010, “Choppa Choppa Down,” his first number-one single, was released.
Excuse My French, his debut studio album, was released on May 21, 2013. Jungle Rules, Montana’s second studio album, was released in July 2017. The Billboard 200 charted it at number three at its peak. The album was promoted with the track “Unforgettable,” which featured Swae Lee. Early Years
On November 9th, 1984, Karim Kharbocun was born in Rabat, Morocco. Early on, he had a lot of enthusiasm for rap music and soccer, which he eventually carried into his teenage years.
In 1996, he travelled to New York City with his parents, brother Zack, and brother. His father eventually abandoned the family and returned to Morocco. To sustain herself and her children, his mother had to rely on welfare.

Career
In 2002, French Montana began his career as a fight rapper. Together with a close friend of his, he produced the “Cocaine City” series of street DVDs. The interviews with well-known rappers and street music were heavily emphasised on the DVDs.
Montana showcased his musical prowess on the DVDs. But in 2007, he released his first mixtape, “French Revolution,” which featured collaborations with rappers including Jae Millz, Tony Yayo, and Uncle Murda.
He started working on another mixtape the next year with rapper Max B. The mixtape, titled “Coke Wave,” was released in 2009 and quickly gained huge popularity among other rappers and singers. When his eleventh mixtape, “Coke Boys,” was released in 2010, the song “Choppa Choppa Down” became a radio and club success.
He started working on his album “Self Made Vol.” alongside Rick Ross. together with rappers like Jeremih and J. Cole. His song “Pop That,” which was slated to be the lead single from his debut studio album “Excuse my French,” was released in 2012.
On May 21, 2013, Montana’s first studio album, “Excuse My French,” was finally published. It debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 and sold 56,000 copies in its first week, making it one of his most commercially successful albums.

Numerous group and solo mixtapes were released by Montana. He inked a combined recording contract with Maybach Music Group and Bad Boy Records in 2012. He released his debut album Excuse My French later that year, in 2013, and it went platinum by the RIAA and topped many lists. His second album, Jungle Rules, which he released in 2017, was also a great hit and received platinum certification by the RIAA and MC.

Deen Kharbouch and Montana were wed in 2007. The couple started living apart in 2012, and their divorce was finalised in 2014. In October 2010, they welcomed a son.
Montana formally became an American citizen in June 2018.
