On Friday, Jimmy Kimmel made a joke about former President Donald Trump’s strange resemblance to Martin Luther King Jr.
Trump compared the size of the crowd during his Jan. 6, 2021 speech to Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. Trump spoke in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday.
“The ‘I [Have] a Dream’ speech… one million people, and then I gave my address [on Jan. 6] and they showed the same thing,” Trump said of the speech that preceded the melee at the United States Capitol in footage posted by Kimmel.
“My photographs were the same except that the individuals were slightly closer together, they were more compact, but otherwise identical save for the fact that there were more people, they were closer together…”

In addition, the former president wondered if he was “authorized” to claim if his address was better than King’s.
Kimmel juxtaposed King’s speech to a speech by Trump in which the former president invoked the Space Force in a series of clips.
“That’s correct, sure, his famous ‘I have a Space Force’ speech,” Kimmel added, smiling.
