Kenneth Copeland Net Worth: Is This Celebrity a Billionaire?

Kenneth Max Copeland, a Pentecostal televangelist and novelist from the United States, was born on December 6, 1936. In 1967, Kenneth Copeland formed Eagle Mountain International Church Inc. (EMIC), which is located in Tarrant County, Texas. Copeland’s sermons are carried on the Victory Channel throughout the United States and beyond the world. Copeland is also the author of numerous books and resources.

He is well-known for preaching the prosperity gospel and belonging to the Word of Faith movement. Parishioners would get a “hundredfold” return on their investment if they give to God, according to Copeland. He was chastised for utilising his tax-exempt status and donations to pay for a house, a private plane, an airport, and other lavish purchases.

Kenneth Copeland’s net worth

He is an American writer, social activist, televangelist, and musician worth $300 million. Kenneth has made news in recent years for his luxurious lifestyle, which includes many residences and multiple private jets (including one purchased for a reported $20 million from Tyler Perry).

He was born in Lubbock, Texas on December 28, 1936. Kenneth Copeland Ministries, situated in District, Texas, advocates prosperity theology, commonly known as the abundance gospel. His ministry includes television, books, DVDs, and CDs. Before turning to Christianity in 1962, Copeland was a musician who had a Top 40 hit with the song “Pledge of Love.”

Kenneth’s wealth and reliance on church funds to support his lavish lifestyle have provoked heated discussion. Kenneth and Gloria are claimed to dwell in a $6.3 million lakefront mansion that his church allegedly paid for.

He hasn’t denied his fortune, telling at least one journalist that he is a “very wealthy individual,” citing oil and gas interests and reserves on his numerous properties as proof.

Early Years and Career of Kenneth Max Copeland

Kenneth Max Copeland was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Aubrey Wayne and Vinita Pearl (née Owens) Copeland. He grew raised near a US Army Air Forces airfield in West Texas, which inspired him to become a pilot.

Copeland was a music artist for Imperial Records who only had one Billboard Top 40 hit (“Pledge of Love,” which charted in the Top 40 on April 20, 1957, lasted 15 weeks, and peaked at #17). Copeland dedicated his life to preaching the gospel and ministering to others.
He started at Oral Roberts University in the fall of 1967, quickly rising through the ranks to become the university’s pilot and driver.

Private Planes

According to allegations, Copeland used church funds to purchase a $20 million Gulfstream V private jet from Tyler Perry. Following the purchase of the jet, he generated even more controversy by asking his fans to donate an extra $17–$20 million to refurbish his airport’s runway and hangar.

He is accused of utilising this plane for personal holidays and excursions to resorts. He has previously stated that he dislikes commercial flight because he does not want to “get into a tube with a bunch of demons.” Kenneth requested for tax-exempt status for his $3.6 million private planes with the IRS in 2009. His request was denied.

In May 2019, a reporter approached Copeland at a private airport and asked him how he could explain his extravagant lifestyle. Kenneth’s unusual response to her questions became the focal point of the viral video. Here’s the link to the full video:

Copeland has been at the centre of several debates. Mike Huckabee appeared on his show several times in 2008 to sell a book. Huckabee also raised money for his presidential campaign through the ministries. The IRS questioned the church’s tax-exempt status as a result of the occurrences.

Kenneth sparked more controversy in mid-March 2020 when he claimed to have treated and protected his viewers from Coronavirus by blowing the “wind of God” towards the television (his breath).

The Wealth of Kenneth Copeland

Kenneth’s wealth and reliance on church funds to fund his lavish lifestyle has caused much discussion. Kenneth and Gloria are claimed to dwell in a $6.3 million lakefront mansion that his church allegedly paid for. Copeland’s estimated net worth is between $750 million and $1 billion. He hasn’t denied his fortune, telling at least one reporter that he is a “very wealthy man,” citing oil and gas assets and reserves on his numerous properties as proof.
