Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian have ended their relationship. According to a source, the couple, who met while Kim hosted Saturday Night Live in October 2021, have split up following a nine-month relationship.
“Kim and Pete split up. Things were beginning to fade out and the distance has been difficult,” the person said. “It was difficult for them to have Pete away for so long. Kim is doing well and is aware of how busy she is. Pete has also been extremely busy.
The split was initially reported by E! News. ET has contacted Kim and Pete’s representatives for comment.
Kim and Pete made news when they were seen holding hands on a rollercoaster following their kiss on Saturday Night Live.
The two went on several occasions before a source revealed more about their relationship to ET.
Kim and Pete are only “casually dating” at this point, according to the source. “Pete is really enthusiastic and in love with Kim. Although she doesn’t jump into anything serious, Kim likes Pete as well.
Soon after, the two took off on a trip while controversy involving Kim’s ex, Kanye “Ye” West, started.
Pete and Kim are still having a great time together after their trip to the Bahamas, a source told ET in January. Kanye continues to be unimpressed with Pete and Kim’s relationship, but he makes an effort to keep himself occupied, engaged, and content with his own life.
The situation worsened after Kanye insulted Pete in the song “Eazy.”
But Pete seemed unconcerned, and not long after that, he called Kim his “girlfriend” for the first time.
Pete enjoys the humor and entertainment in Kanye’s lyrics and interviews about him. He doesn’t take it personally and is really relaxed about the situation, a source told ET in February. He despises that Kim must handle the drama, though.
When Kanye unveiled the music video for “Eazy,” which depicts the rapper kidnapped and burying a claymation figure that looks like the comedian, Pete continued to make jokes.
He thinks it’s hilarious that Kanye used a cartoon representation of him in his song video, a source told ET. “He finds it all so absurd that he almost feels complimented by it. Kanye poses no threat to [Pete] in any way, shape, or form.
In March, the same month that viewers noticed what appeared to be a tattoo of Kim’s name on Pete’s chest, the ex-couple made things Instagram official.
In April, a source told ET that “Kim and Pete are really serious and they both want to take their relationship to the next level.”
Despite the controversy that Kanye previously stirred up, they are smitten with one another and are working to make their relationship grow stronger.
In that same month, Kim made a rare public statement on her union, telling Robin Roberts that she felt “at peace” with Davidson.
I definitely prefer relationships, and I wouldn’t be dating someone if I didn’t intend to spend a lot of time with them, she said. “I obviously want to take my time, but I’m quite content and happy. And being at peace is such a lovely feeling.
Only a few days later, the couple made their first appearance in public as a couple by attending the Los Angeles premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians. They made their red carpet debut at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner the same month.
At the time, Kim described Pete to ET as “just extremely genuine, and it’s just super great to just hang around and do nothing then watch TV and just do nothing.” “Finding someone to do nothing with is one of my favourite activities. It’s excellent.
When Kim, 41, and Pete, 28, attended the Met Gala together in May, their highly publicized relationship reached a new high. Fans learned more about the couple’s relationship when The Kardashians debuted since Kim admitted she initiated contact with Pete and implied that their sexual encounters were among the best of her life.
Pete has a tight bond with Kim and Kanye’s four children, North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3.
According to a source who spoke with ET in June, “Kim and her family talked how they’ve always managed having a blended family well and that Kim had to do what was right for her and Pete.” Pete and the kids get along well, and Kim’s admiration for him grew as she saw how wonderful he was to them.
Kim and Pete are very deeply in love. Another source told ET the following month, “Kim is light and happy with Pete and it shows in so many ways, including being a mom, at her business, in her friendships, and more. “Pete has worked hard to integrate himself into Kim’s life and that of her family and children. She adores watching him play with and show interest in her kids since he is such an incredible father figure.

When a source told ET in July that Kim and Pete “would do whatever it takes to keep and balance their work and personal life together,” things with the couple appeared to be as serious as ever.
The insider added that Kim and Pete are “closer and more in love than ever before” and that their relationship is “doing better than before.” Despite the fact that they both have demanding work schedules, they both make an effort to visit and spend time with one other on a regular basis, even if it means traveling great distances.
Although the insider said their connection was strong, “Pete obviously wants to be a dad and he and Kim have spoken about it, but they are focused on growing their relationship right now,” the source said of the couple.
