“I used to say, ‘Babe, gosh, my nails look so wonderful,'” she remembered. “And then we went to Mexico for the holidays, and he, I think, orchestrated the whole thing, and then it all fell apart.” So, on Christmas Eve, Dad was setting up this feast on the balcony, but I mistook it for Christmas Eve dinner because I thought Christmas Eve was only for Child Jesus. So I used to think to myself, ‘Oh no.’ It is most likely not going to happen tonight.’ After that, it definitely did.”

Lana Condor gushed over her fiancé Anthony De La Torre in an interview about their recent engagement and the portrayal of Asian people in films.
In a talk with Grazie, the star of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before discussed how she feels about the prevailing notion that love has to be ‘tough.’
“There’s this bizarre misunderstanding that love needs to be difficult,” the 24-year-old added. Your universe burns down because it’s ugly and painful, and there’s so much passion.”
“It looks lovely on paper, but it’s not quite right.” Lana said, “Love should feel safe and pleasant.” “I feel like I’m in a cocoon with Anthony.” You don’t have to be torn apart by love.”
He hinted at giving her a wooden engagement ring during an instance when Anthony had not proposed to her.
“A few years ago, (De La Torre) come to me and says, ‘Wooden engagement rings are all the rage today,'” she said. It was not amusing in the least.”
