Co-star Lil Rel Howery gave some indications about the upcoming Peacock mystery-drama series Poker Face tonight on the red carpet for Jordan Peele‘s Nope premiere, despite Rian Johnson withholding many details about the project.
Howery, who starred in the Fox sitcom Rel from 2018 to 2019, isn’t playing for laughs this time.
Regarding Poker Face, he told Deadline, “Aw, that was fun to do.” I just finished it a month ago, I think. As a result, it is plainly dramatic and not funny. You don’t often see me playing the bad guy. It’s really evil, and I loved every aspect of it.
When pressed for more information, Howery retreated a little and said the character is the “kind” of evil.
I’m just going to say, “Type, yeah. He said, “I probably shouldn’t have said it,” with a loud laugh.
