Al Roker Entertainment has appointed Lisa Tucker as SVP of Development and Production, the business announced on Tuesday.
She will be in charge of showrunners, the creation of both scripted and unscripted content, and editorial choices in conjunction with creative leads. Al Roker and EVP Tracie Brennan are Tucker’s immediate superiors.
Tucker possesses a lengthy resume. The Emmy-winning showrunner and executive producer previously worked at PTTV (Picture This Television), where she oversaw multiple series for networks like MTV, Bravo, and VH1.
Tucker remarked, “I love the innovative and team-based approach of generating and selling initiatives. Nothing is more fulfilling than making comedic and heartfelt pilots and series, and my passions fit well with ARE’s objective. I am really thrilled to be a part of this incredible team.

“Lisa is a wonderful creative talent and she adds further strength to our projects having developed and sold multiple series across different platforms,” said Roker, the company’s CEO. Our working slate has grown to accommodate the expectations of our content distribution partners in this era of “peak TV.” The Personal Librarian by Heather Terrell and Victoria Christopher Murray and Beverly Jenkins‘ Hopetown, which is based on her Blessings novels, are just a couple of the systems and platforms Lisa will work with thanks to her significant knowledge.
