Maya Rudolph as a spiraling billionaire on the road to self-discovery is shown for the first time in the trailer for Loot. The official trailer for Alan Yang’s (Little America) and Matt Hubbard’s 10-episode workplace comedy has been released on Apple TV+ (30 Rock).
Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Ron Funches, Nat Faxon, and Joel Kim Booster lead the ensemble cast, which includes Rudolph.
Molly Novak (Rudolph) is a billionaire with a fantasy existence that includes private jets, a large mansion, and a gigayacht – anything her heart desires. However, after her 20-year-husband betrays her, she spirals out of control, becoming tabloid fodder. She’s at her lowest point when she discovers, to her surprise, that she has a charity foundation headed by the tough-as-nails Sofia Salinas (Rodriguez), who begs Molly to stop causing trouble.

Molly embarks on a journey of self-discovery with the support of her devoted assistant Nicholas (Kim Booster) and Sofia and her crew, which includes mild-mannered accountant Arthur (Faxon) and her upbeat, pop-culture-loving cousin Howard (Funches). Giving back to others could be just what she needs to reclaim her self-confidence.
Yang and Hubbard wrote, produced, and wrote the screenplay for Loot. Through their Animal Pictures banner, Rudolph executive produces with Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Renfrew Behrens. Executive producer Dave Becky of 3 Arts is also on board. Universal Television, a unit of Universal Studio Group, is producing Loot for Apple.
The first three episodes of Loot will air on Friday, June 24, with a new episode airing every Friday after that.
