When Love on the Spectrum premiered on Netflix in July 2020, it was a smash hit. The reality programme has been renewed for a third season after two seasons, and fans are eagerly anticipating it. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the American adaptation. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about Love on the Spectrum in the United States.
Love on the Spectrum: United States was first announced in March, but we didn’t know when it would be available on Netflix. The streamer had simply confirmed that the show would premiere this year, that it would be produced by the same studio as the original series, and that executive producers Karina Holden and Cian O’Clery had joined on.
So much more information about the upcoming original series has now been available. Continue reading to learn what we know about Love on the Spectrum in the United States.
Love on the Spectrum Season 3 premiere date in the United States
The reality series will launch on Netflix on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET.
The first season will air on the streamer at 2:00 a.m. CT if you live in the Midwest. The first season will be made up of six episodes, each lasting between 30 and 40 minutes.
The American version is rated TV-MA in comparison to the Australian version. Because of the show’s strong language, Netflix gave it a TV-MA rating. It’s unclear why the US version is reserved for mature audiences, given that the Australian version’s language was classified as TV-14.
Season 3 Cast of Love on the Spectrum
The official cast list for the upcoming season has yet to be announced. However, in season 2, two LGBTQIA+ cast members, Mark and Teo, were featured on the show, maintaining the show’s record of breaking barriers.
In the second season, viewers were introduced to new cast members Kassandra, Teo, Ronan, and Jayden, as well as returning cast members Mark, Chloe, Michael, and the gorgeous couple Jimmy and Sharnae (who are eventually married now).
Returning to the season 3 cast, we expect some of the cast members from seasons 1 and 2 to return, as well as some new faces who have yet to be unveiled.
What Would Happen on the Spectrum During the Season of Love?
Although nothing is known about the future storyline, it is probable that it will focus on those who have yet to find love. According to The Cinemaholic, Mark, Kassandra, Teo, Michael, and Jayden are still looking for love, while Ronan and Katie are engaged, and Jimmy and Sharnae married after meeting in the first season.
If a third season is made, those who are still looking for love may return, along with new cast members, in the hopes of finding love in the future season.

Is Love On The Spectrum’s Jimmy and Sharnae still together?
Jimmy and Sharnae met in an employment centre shortly after graduating from high school for the first time. There was an instant connection between them. When they moved in together, they started a new chapter in their lives. Jimmy proposed to Sharnae shortly after, as we witnessed in the first season, during a romantic getaway. The focus of Jimmy and Sharnae’s second season participation was on their trip to Las Vegas, where Jimmy competed in a pool competition. Their beautiful wedding was also included in the series, marking yet another happy milestone for the couple.
It gives us great pleasure to inform our readers that Jimmy and Sharnae Berresford are still blissfully sailing together in life’s boat. Due of Sharnae’s autism, she and Jimmy sometimes take a long time to communicate properly. However, this makes their connection much less complicated.
