The performer recalls an upsetting incident when she saw paparazzi attempting to take pictures of her son as they were filming the British Vogue cover.
Since becoming a mother, Rihanna has emphasised the importance of protecting her son’s privacy.
In a cover story for the March issue of British Vogue, the 34-year-old singer, who recently revealed her second pregnancy, talks about keeping her child out of the spotlight while posing with her 9-month-old and boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
The “Diamonds” singer remembered an emotional moment when she heard paparazzi in the distance attempting to take pictures of her baby boy, who had not yet been revealed to the public, while she and her child were shooting the magazine’s cover.
She said, “It’s the kind of thing you never want to happen. We have the freedom to decide when and how we do this as parents. The story comes to an end at that point.
“Submit me to wolves. With me, you are free to do whatever you choose. He cannot influence any of this, she said. “We’ve been guarding him up until this point; you don’t have my consent to post or market photographs of my little child. Get the hell out of here after that.
When that happened, according to Rihanna, she “went directly into protective mode” and left the location where they were filming to talk with Rocky about a course of action.
