Gil Hodges
Having played for 18 seasons, Gil Hodges is one of the top Dodgers. He spent most of his prime with the Dodgers but eventually moved to the New York Mets. Throughout his career, he received many awards. Hodges was an eight-time All-Star winner.
Aside from that, he was a three-time Gold Glove winner. He was also part of the World Series championships in 1955 and 1959. Hodges had a long, impressive career that has made him part of the Hall of Fame.
David Ortiz
The next name on our list is one of the most popular MLB players, David Ortiz. Throughout his long, incredible career from 1997 to 2016, Ortiz was a fan favorite. He had a slugging ability and delivered clutch hits for the Red Sox and the Twins.
Over the years, he was a 10-time All-Star player and got seven Silver Slugger awards. He even helped the Red Sox to their 2004 World Series championship title, ending their 86-year championship drought.
Jim Kaat
The next name on our list is Jim Kaat, a multiple All-Star player with an illustrious career playing for the Senators, White Sox, Twins, Cardinals, Phillies, and Yankees. He was one of the best of his time, playing for 25 seasons. Kaat had 625 starts under his belt, with 4,539.1 innings pitched, ranking him 25th in the record.

Tony Oliva
Winning the batting crown in his first two seasons was one of Tony Olivia’s most significant achievements in MLB history. Olivia was a native of Cuba and was able to rise to the top, giving him the chance to push for different records.
In 1964, he won the AL Rookie of the Year award, making him one of the fascinating players. After that, he went on to deliver on many levels, putting him as one of the top batters of all time; Olivia is sure one name that deserves to be part of the Hall of Fame class.
Minnie Minoso
Having had to deal with discrimination, Minnie Minoso never stopped pushing for greatness. He played three seasons in the Negro Leagues before moving to the majors and playing for 17 years.
He started playing in the big leagues with Cleveland before moving to the White Sox, then the Cardinals, before settling with the Senators. Minoso was a 13-time All-Star player and also a three-time Gold Glove winner.
Bud Fowler
Even though he was subjected to intense racism as a black international, Bud Fowler was one of the best baseball players of his time. Although he had to move around more than usual, Fowler remained a titan where he played and was instrumental in establishing Black baseball leagues across the country. He sure is one of the most deserving of a spot in the hall of fame.
Buck O’Neil
Finally on our list is Buck O’Neil. He was more than a baseball player; he also served in the Navy during the Second World War. O’Neil was an exciting player, and his career transcends his active years to his managerial, scouting, and executive years.
He sure had a significant impact on the league and remained one of the top baseball players with a long, illustrious, and exciting career.
