The King’s Affection is a South Korean historical fiction romantic comedy-drama television series created by Ki Min-soo and Hong Seok-gu. It is based on Lee So-manhwa young’s Yeonmo and places the protagonist’s birth in 1461. Ahn Chang-Hyeon, Baek Sung-min, and Hwang Ui-Kyung are the series’ producers, and Yoon Jae-hyuk, Song Min-Joo, Han Hye-Yeon, and Park Chun-ho are its executive producers. The show is also referred to as Attachment.

Some of the most brilliant actors have been cast as the show’s characters, including Park Eun-bin, Nam Yoon-su, Bae Yoon-Kyung, Rowoon, Choi Byung-chan, and Jung Chae-Yeon, among many more.

From October 11 to December 14, 2021, the series’ 20 episodes, which were all directed by Song Hyun-wook, aired every Monday and Tuesday at 21:30 on KBS2 (KST). At the Korea First Brand Awards in 2021, Jung Chae-Yeon won the prize for Female Acting Idol. The same year, Rowoon won two awards at the KBS Drama Awards—one for Best New Actor and another for Popularity Actor—as well as the prize for Best Couple. Choi Myung-bin also received the prize for Best Young Actor.


Park Eun-bin was the recipient of two honours: the Top Excellence Award for Actress and the Popularity Actress Award. Park Eun-bin earned the best actor prize at the Korean Broadcasting Awards in 2022, while Han Hee-Jung won the same year’s Seoul International Drama Awards for this drama series.
