Will The Lincoln Lawyer return for a second season? Continue reading to learn more about Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer.
The Lincoln Lawyer is a courtroom drama series conceived by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, based on Michael Connelly’s 2008 novel The Brass Verdict. The story chronicles the lives of a defense attorney in Los Angeles who takes cases in the back of his Lincoln town car rather than in an office.
The narrative was previously adapted into a 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey, who is also a defense attorney who works out of his car rather than an office. The series follows Mickey Haller, who has been out of the legal profession for a year following a fatal car accident, but is forced back into it when another attorney is murdered, and this could be the most important case of Mickey’s career.
The first season of the show began on May 13, 2022, and given the way season 1 concluded, people are already asking if there will be a second season.

Release Date for Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer
Season 1 of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ aired on Netflix on May 13, 2022. Because the season was released in its entirety, all 10 hour-long episodes were released at the same time.
So yet, there has been no official word from the creators or the streaming platform about season 2 being greenlit. Fans of the prolific lawyer, on the other hand, should hold out hope for future seasons. For one thing, the series still has a large amount of material to work with.
Connelly has written six novels on Mickey Haller so far. Season 1 of the Netflix series is based on the second, while the 2011 feature is based on the first. There are four more novels in the series that could serve as plotlines for future seasons. As a result, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ might go for several seasons.
Of course, one of the most important aspects is how many viewers Season 1 attracts. If the series attracts a large audience, Netflix’s initial 10-episode season 1 order might be followed by renewals for subsequent seasons. Given that the principal character is already well-known as a result of the film, this appears to be a realistic possibility. All things considered, we can anticipate a second season of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ in mid-2023.
Plot of Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer
If the show is revived, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo could return as a lawyer and solve some more puzzling cases. It is dependent on the book that the creators select. They didn’t adapt the first novel for the first season; instead, they adapted The Brass Verdict, the second book in the collection. As a result, they will disregard the order and may select any book from the series.
But don’t worry, the other five books are just as amusing and complex as this one, and one of them even has Haller arrested for a crime that he must show he did not commit. We’re excited to see which book the writers will chose for Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer, if at all, and what drama awaits Mickey in the coming season.
Who will appear in season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer?
If The Lincoln Lawyer returns, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will almost certainly reprise his role as Mickey Haller, the title’s lawyer.
Izzy Letts, a recovered addict, will be accompanied by Jazz Raycole as his right-hand woman/Lincoln car driver.
Then there are the other two significant ladies in his life: Maggie McPherson (played by Neve Campbell) and Lorna, his second wife who is now an associate investigator (Becki Newton).
As for the remainder of the cast, some of them didn’t make it through season one, whether due to arrest or having their lives cut short by outside forces.
So there’s plenty of room in the ranks for some newcomers. Especially whatever the big case for season two might be.

Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer begins with a bang.
When Mickey Haller is able to establish Jesus Menendez’s innocence, a major issue arises: who murdered Martha Renteria? This is a major theme in the first book. The man with the tattoo who probably killed Martha Renteria is seen watching Mickey Haller in The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 finale, which aligns with that character’s story in the novel and signals that Netflix wants to adapt that scenario for The Lincoln Lawyer season 2. Lorna Taylor (Becki Newton) going to law school and Cisco’s (Angus Sampson) paying his debt to the Road Saints will both be explored in the upcoming season.
