Not only that, but it was rumoured in February of this year that The Rookie might get a new spin-off series focusing on a new character played by Niecy Nash. “I’m so delighted to guest star on The Rookie and bring Simone Clark to life!” Nash said in a statement about the spin-off, which is expected to premiere next year if picked up.
“She is a vibrant and peppery fish out of water,” she continued. I’m really excited to play with this cast!”
Release Date for Season 5 of The Rookie
Unfortunately, no release date for The Rookie Season 5 has been set, and requesting one now would be premature given that Season 4 is currently airing. Season 4 debuted in September 2021, and the new season is expected to launch in late 2022 or early 2023, based on past seasons.

The previous season had a fantastic cliffhanger. At the USS Iowa Museum, we watched cops approaching Reynolds and shooting him. Brandon resolves to follow in her sister’s footsteps, but she subsequently declines to meet with her father and endorses Nolan for the position of union representative. Lopez files a RICO suit against Stone, but subsequently learns that Evers told Grey about the complaint and that Grey wants to use Evers as an informant.
The next season will start up where the previous one left off, and we’re excited to see how our police officer handles the new challenges that come with being promoted to the rank of P2, which allows him to serve as a patrol officer on his own.
