Season 2 of The Wheel of Time has been shot. But unfortunately, there is no date set for when the fantasy series will come out. The people who make the show have said that Season 2 has been going on for a while. Before Season 1 of The Wheel of Time could even start streaming on Amazon Prime Video in November 2021, it was already renewed for a second season. Because Season 1 was so popular, the show is now the most watched show on the streaming site.
Date of the second season of “The Wheel of Time”
At the time of our most recent update, we still didn’t have a confirmed release date for The Wheel of Time season 2. However, the series finale of Amazon’s highly-anticipated Lord of the Rings TV show, The Rings of Power, is coming up soon, so there’s definitely room for another epic fantasy series to take over the service.

Who is cast in The Wheel of Time season 2?
Moiraine, played by Rosamund Pike, will be back, and Lan Mandragoran, played by Daniel Henney, will be her bodyguard and ward.
Also coming back will be our young heroes from the Two Rivers.
Josha Stradowski will play Rand al’Thor, Madeleine Madden will play Egwene al’Vere, Marcus Rutherford will play Perrin Aybara, and Nynaeve al’Meara will be played by Zoe Robins again.
Barney Harris will not come back to the show as Mat Cauthon, which is a big deal.
The role of this character has been given to the Irish actor Dónal Finn.
No official reason has been given for Barney’s departure, and since the actor has deleted his social media accounts, it may remain a bit of a mystery.

New characters will be played by Ceara Coveney, Meera Syal, and Natasha O’Keeffe in the second season. At the moment, we don’t know who O’Keeffe and Syal will play. However, we do know that Coveney will play Elayne Trakand.
In the books, Elayne Trakand is a very important character because she is one of the most powerful Aes Sedai in the whole story. We expect that she will also be a very important character in the show. As Coveney’s first big role, it’s a big win for her.
We found out in April 2022 that Ayoola Smart was going to play Aviendha, an Aiel Maiden of the Spear.
The Wheel of Time Season 2: What about the plot?
Rafe Judkins said on the Empire Spoiler Special Film Podcast that the stories from The Great Hunt (Book Two) and The Dragon Reborn will be tied together in Season 2 of The Wheel of Time (Book Three).
The Wheel of Time doesn’t use the exact words from the books like other book-to-series adaptations have. The episodes were written so that they would work better on TV. The number of times Moiraine (Pike) and Lan (Henney) appeared together was increased by a lot. In book two, the two people are barely talked about in one chapter. This will make it hard for the two main characters in the series to do their jobs.

The Wheel Of Time Season 2 Trailer
The makers of the show have not yet shown the trailer for Season 2 of Wheel of Time. The show’s creators did release a teaser that showed a wrap of the second season’s filming and showed the props, writers, and actors working on set. Amazon Prime Videos will soon put out the official trailer.
