Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy will release on Netflix in just over a month, and while we have yet to see an official trailer, we have been given character images, a brief teaser, and a first look at Elliot Page’s Viktor Hargreeves.
While we wait, we’ve compiled everything we know about The Umbrella Academy season 3, from confirmed cast members to our best estimates for what may happen next. There are also episode names, the release date, Robert Sheehan and Tom Hopper remarks, and much more to pore over for indications. Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy release date
Almost two years after The Umbrella Academy’s second season ended on its jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the teaser finally revealed Season 3’s official release date. The Hargreeves and the Sparrows will fight once more on Netflix on June 22. Most likely, the complete season will be released on the same day.
The Umbrella Academy’s third season
Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castaeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min will play the Hargreeves siblings, while Ritu Arya will play Lila. Reginald Hargreeves star Colm Feore will return, and Euphoria actor Javon Walton will join the cast in an unidentified role.
In March, Page said that his character in Season 3 will be a transgender man named Viktor, and shared a portrait of the character on Twitter. Please see the diagram below.
In the Umbrella Academy season 2 finale, the “Sparrow Academy,” a new superhero organisation founded by a still-alive Reginald in an other dimension where our heroes now reside, was also presented. Justin H. Min will play an alternate universe version of his character Ben, with a plethora of new characters.

Justin Cornwell will portray Marcus, the Sparrows’ leader who keeps the family in check, while Britne Oldford will play Fei, a lonely misanthrope who is usually the smartest person in the room. Jake Epstein portrays Alphonso, who has a caustic sense of humour, and Genesis Rodriguez portrays Sloane, who is a romantic dreamer. Jayme will be played by Cazzie David, a loner who rarely communicates and only has Alphonso as a friend.
Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube will play Christopher, the ninth Sparrow, according to Netflix. Christopher is loyal, trustworthy, and possesses the ability to paralyse a room by freezing it and instilling fear — as well as a large telekinetic cube. While this may create more questions than it answers, we finally have an explanation for why the gigantic cube emerged at the end of Season 2.
Character posters for the Sparrows have also been published, and you can view them below. Two new character images, one of which is a particularly cruel reminder of Ben’s fate, have been released on Twitter, each depicting a Hargreeves brother and their Sparrow equivalent.
Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy’s plot
According to the official Season 3 plot summary from Netflix, the Sparrows and Hargreeves will collide, but it will only be the beginning of their problems. The Hargreeves will have to navigate their new relationship with an other version of themselves while simultaneously trying to avoid yet another catastrophe and return to their original timeline. To distil all of that into ten episodes takes a lot of effort.
To attain any of these goals, the Hargreeves will have to overcome their problems with the Sparrows, according to Netflix. “All they have to do now is persuade Dad’s new, possibly better family to help them rectify the wrongs that their arrival caused,” says the summary. It also discusses “challenges, losses, and shocks” in the new season.

The siblings must resolve the contradiction they made while also coping with the Sparrows they created in this season, which appears to be another action-packed one. In the final moments of the trailer, a spoiler is shown, confirming Pogo’s reappearance!
On June 22, 2022, Netflix will release Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy.
