1. Are you motivated to make long-term lifestyle changes?

Instead, consider giving your life a chance to calm down before embarking on your weight loss program.
3. Do you have a realistic idea of how much weight you will lose and how quickly you will lose it?
Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight is a process that takes time all the life. Start by making sure your weight loss goal is safe and realistic, such as losing 5% of your current weight. Then try to lose 0.5 to 1 kilogram per week until you reach your goal. This means that you must burn 524 to 1 more calories than you consume each day through diet and exercise.
You can lose weight faster if you change your habits in a significative way. Be careful, however. Dramatic changes that are not sustainable are unlikely to be effective in the long term.
4. Have you solved the emotional problems related to your weight?
Emotions and food are often intimately linked. Anger, stress, grief, and boredom can trigger emotional eating. If you have a history of eating disorders, weight loss may be even more difficult. To prepare for the challenges, identify any emotional issues related to food. Talk to your doctor or a mental health professional, if needed.
5. Do you have support and accountability?
Any weight loss program can be difficult. You will have moments of temptation. You may feel discouraged. Having someone by your side to encourage you can help. If you don’t have friends or loved ones you can rely on to help you, consider joining a weight loss support group. If you want your weight loss efforts to remain private, prepare to be responsible to yourself. Regular weigh-ins and tracking your diet and activity are associated with more effective weight loss.

6. Have you taken up the weight loss challenge?
If you don’t have a positive attitude towards weight loss, you may not be be not ready. If you’re dreading what’s to come, you’ll be more likely to find excuses to stray from your goal.
Instead, try to embrace the vision of your new way of life and stay positive. Focus on the well-being you will feel when you are more active or when you weigh less. Imagine celebrating every success along the way, whether it’s enjoying a healthy new food, completing a new workout, or losing your first few pounds.
