A future upgrade to WhatsApp will let you reply using any emoji. The company initially debuted the emoji reply feature in April, but it wasn’t made generally accessible until May. Thumbs up, heart, joined hands, tears of joy, mouth open, and weeping face were the only emojis accessible at the time.
The ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp is being rolled out, Mark Zuckerberg announced in a Facebook post. The company started making the extended emoji reply option available to everyone today, but if you haven’t seen it in your app yet, you will in a few days.

You are not need to use the six pre-set emojis; the new function is just a charming cosmetic improvement. By offering more emoji replies than Telegram by default, but requiring a premium subscription to access more, the company hopes to surpass Telegram.
Emoji reactions are WhatsApp’s first substantial update since July, following the rollout of features like Android to iPhone conversation transfer and the ability to hide your last seen and profile image from specific people.
