Wynonna married Arch Kelley III in 1993, and according to Wynonna, their son, Elijah Judd, was born on December 23, 1994, in Nashville, Tennessee. When she was four months pregnant with their second child and he was four months pregnant with their first, the couple married on January 21, 1996.
Wynonna married D. R. Roach, a former bodyguard who had previously worked for her, in 2003. The wedding took place in Tennessee on November 22, 2003. On March 22, 2007, her husband was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child under the age of thirteen, and five days later she filed for divorce. In November 2003, Wynonna made an appearance on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, during which she acknowledged her “severe food dependency.”
